Liverpool Hope University has made its presence known in Liverpool and surrounding areas, offering students up and down the country a scholarship guaranteed for 3 years while you study. Following a recent re-brand after being granted university status, they wanted a DVD that they could send out to prospective students.
Liverpool Hope has stiff competition from the two larger universities in Liverpool which are based in the city centre. After interviewing current students, it became clear that Liverpool Hope has a unique character all of its own and that was the main attraction for them. The challenge for Gencia was to capture those unique qualities on camera.
The solution that the Gencia video production team suggested was a series of specific, targeted videos illustrating what the university has to offer in terms of facilities, teaching, support, accommodation, Freshers week, scholarships balanced with a section showcasing Liverpool City Centre from a student perspective. Key to the production were vox pops style interviews with the students themselves.
Designed to support the new Liverpool Hope brand the final production will be sent out on DVD throughout 2007 to prospective students.
