SimplyBiz – 4. Design for print summary

Background

SimplyBiz launched in 2002 and supplies support services to IFAs. At the outset Gencia was asked to complete a tender to become SimplyBiz’s full service agency. We were selected, and continue to supply print design, marketing services and web development.

Challenge

From a standing start SimplyBiz has been a hugely successful business, now with over 70 staff and more than 3000 IFA members. The forward thinking board saw the opportunity to harness the latest technology and revolutionise the industry by building a predominately online offering. The challenge for Gencia was to implement and, in some cases create, completely new methods of service provision and distribution as well as marketing the services through online and print media.

Solution

The core of the SimplyBiz business model is the website. It is an information resource, sales tool, business process streamlining tool, news feed and financial resources portal rolled into one. It provides video, interactive tutorials, financial tools, compliance manuals, marketing tools and the list goes on. The initial phase of SimplyBiz’s development as a company was the recruitment of IFA members. To this end Gencia has produced targeted marketing campaigns, direct mail, corporate brochures, exhibition stands and newspaper advertising that have helped SimplyBiz achieve a target of over 3000 IFA members.
