Argos – 3. Data Capture Summary

Background

We have always believed that the best way of achieving success in business is to surround yourself with the best people. Our partners Linchpin are one such company and specialise in setting up affinity partnerships. In this case they had instigated a joint venture between Lloyds TSB and Argos.


Challenge

To capture home and motor insurance renewal dates from Argos customers in the largest numbers and with the minimum of manual human intervention.


Solution

An online competition based on our ‘instant win’ platform. The system is easily adapted to suit many different types of online promotion. In this case a random 5 digit code was entered into the ‘prize checker’ to win. In 3 months the website had over 1.4 million unique visitors and created a database for Lloyds of over 185,000 players.
