Background
The newly combined business Daisy Group PLC will be a strong player in the UK telecoms market and will have more than 40,000 customers. It will be a leading provider of integrated voice and data services to the small-medium business market and customers will have access to a combined product set including access, hosting, voice, managed services and mobile telephony, all from a single customer service and billing platform.
Challenge
We were working to such a strict timescale that the product matrix was still in development as the new site was being built. Visually the site needed to reflect the Daisy brand positioning encapsulated with the business strap line, ‘fresh new business thinking’ and it had to move beyond the competition in terms of look, ease of use and functionality
Solution
We had to build in a lot of flexibility to accommodate a product matrix that was still in development. In fact, whole new product lines were being added by the client simultaneous to production. Our in-house developed CMS, PowerBase, proved equal to the challenge, enabling the development team to design in the flexibility required and launch the new site on time.
The design team photographed Daisy staff for the site, completely avoiding the use of the bland, generic stock photography so widely used by competitors. The end result is a fresh, open and easily navigable site that is a joy to use for Daisy staff, partners and customers alike.
