Essential Skills Web Skills

- HTML / XHTML
- CSS
- W3C Standards
- Has programmed with one server side language (ColdFusion / ASP / PHP)
- Has used databases (minimum MS Access)

Desirable Web  Skills

- Commercial experience of ColdFusion MX 7.0 (or above)
- JavaScript experience
- SQL / MSSQL database experience

Job Description

The successful candidate will have had some experience, ideally 12 months, creating or editing websites.
You CSS skills will allow you to implement designs created by the design team.
You will understand the importance of browser testing and W3C standards.
You will have used a programming language, ideally ColdFusion, to perform some basic tasks including connecting to a database to retrieve data.

Daily tasks will include:mailto:jobs@gencia.co.uk

-    Creating quotes / estimates for work
-    Making copy changes to websites
-    Creating HTML brochure websites
-    Working with ColdFusion websites
-    Implementing visuals from the design team into cross browser tested CSS

This role offers a good opportunity to gain web development experience in a commercial environment.
You will be working with existing and new websites, and implementing client changes as requested. You should also be comfortable working to deadlines.
